Illustrated stories for children that speak to adults as well.
Fablex.it is an independent publishing project of illustrated stories and animated short films born from a simple yet profound vision: to create stories capable of enchanting children while simultaneously making adults reflect. The web platform combines traditional storytelling, watercolor art, and modern interactive technologies to bring true journeys of the soul to life.
The heart of Fablex lies in the concept of "dual reading":
The story launching the project is "Celeste and Rosa". It all begins during the birthday party of twins Carlo and Rossella. In a corner of the garden, a clown inflates two balloons, draws two round eyes and a smile on each, and joins them by tying them to the same thin white string.
Thus are born Celeste (the light blue balloon, shy yet courageous) and Rosa (the pink balloon, driven by infinite curiosity).
Bound by that string, the two decide to escape the party and fly away into the sky. Their journey is an extraordinary and contemplative trip through suspended worlds: from the joyful chaos of the party to silent green hills, from the golden warmth of a sunset to the mysterious darkness of a starry night, before gliding toward the colors of a rainbow. Without revealing where the wind will carry them or how their bond will evolve over time, the story serves as a beautiful metaphor for a shared journey and the courage to explore the unknown.
From an artistic standpoint, Celeste and Rosa is characterized by a highly refined visual style. Each panel is an original watercolor with pastel tones and pencil outlines, where colors gently fade at the edges, evoking classic illustrations from children's literature.
On the Fablex.it web platform, the story comes alive thanks to smooth transitions, parallax animated backgrounds, and a sound atmosphere that follows the reading rhythm, transforming the fable into an immersive and poetic multimedia experience.
